Meeting in the Strangest Places... Dai

>Yaaaaaaaaaaawn~< The redheaded Shinigami sat on a seat outside a strange shop in Rukongai's 3rd District. This wouldn't normally be a problem, save for the fact that the big white Captain's Haori on his back. Again, this wouldn't usually pose any issues... but that Haori had a great black "ichi" character stamped on it. Ichi, or one, meant that this Shinigami wasn't just any old Captain. He was the Captain - the Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13.

And for some odd reason, a man this powerful was sitting outside a roadside stall... drinking tea. Now, it wasn't that he couldn't get normal tea back at his barracks, it was just that he couldn't get this tea. What was so special about this tea? Why, it reminded him of Snow for some odd reason - it might've been the fact that it was "Snow Buds" tea. Don't ask why he uses that analogy, just nod and agree, people. Nod... and... agree...

Anyways, Dai was sitting outside the stall, drinking his tea and eating his dumplings - nice and meaty dumplings as they were. He was looking around the residents of Rukongai, and occasionally one would look at him. He'd smile and wave back at them, and then they'd turn around and move away hurriedly. That made Dai feel slightly unhappy, to be honest. He was out here, in the sun, enjoying the company of the people of Rukongai... and they wanted nothing to do with him! Ah, well... He'd go back to Snow eventually, and this day would be over, and he'd have paperwork to look forward to. Fun, fun.

Such was the life of the Captain-Commander, huh?

.:Kohaku Kioshi:.

The Demon of Mirrors

Meeting in the Strangest Places... KOHAKU-6

You could hear the wooden wheels of a cart going by you could the bustling people walking on the streets it had a bit of a musty smell almost like some of the people in the area hadn't even had a bath in awhile or anything like that. There was one thing that was out of the ordinary in the crowd, noone really paid much attention to it but it was almost like a person who had completely erased his presence all together, no one paid any attentino to him as he was walking in between them, weaving in and out of all of the people and even if they bumped into him they would look back at him and then forget him, it was almost like if he was using his reaitsu was shielding him from anyone even noticing him, he started approaching the Captain Commander that was toward the side and then looked at him as he stopped, his reatisu was completely masked, he had great practice with hiding his reaitsu almost completely, plus the cloak that he had wrapped around his person made it so that his reaitsu was almost invisible to even the highest level of people. Looking down, hiding his face he then walked over to the man named Dai.

"So what is the Captain Commander doing out here at this time of day, don't you have anything to do in your office or something like that?" His face was completely hidden by the cowl that he had over his head. Only a little bit of his red hair could be seen coming down from the cowl. There was no sword on his waist so even looking at him you would not expect that he was actually the 0 Division Captain, Kohaku Kioshi, the ex Captain Commander of the Gotei 13, but with being the ex Captain Commander he had come up with a kido that would almost completely erase himself from everyone but the most powerful people in the gotei 13, meaning almost all of the Captains still had a bit of memory about him and most of the members of the gotei 13 would not remember him at all.

Placing a hand on the mans shoulder he then raised his head a little bit to show that he was Kohaku Kioshi and then they both vanished, no trace of their reaitsu would be left, they however did appear in a little clearing, a waterfall could be heard and there was a little hut off to the left and all of this surronded by a bunch of trees all over the place, Dai would be able to tell what this place was, it was the training grounds of the Ex Captain Commander Kohaku Kioshi. When they appeared Kohaku then chuckled a little bit, he was slightly just messing around with Dai but also he just wanted to talk a little bit, he actually had not really talked to the man that now stood in front of him and he wanted to basically test this man's character.

"Sorry for the abrupt little transfer but i wanted to talk to you a little bit if you wouldnt' mind, Daigoro." He then went down and sat on a rock removing the cowl from his head.

Meeting in the Strangest Places... Dai

The redhead blinked a couple of times, being surprised by the advent of someone appearing before him. Who was that, in the hood? He stared for a second, and tried to sift through his memories. He looked familiar, but he had little to no idea of this man's identity.

"So what is the Captain Commander doing out here at this time of day, don't you have anything to do in your office or something like that?" Well, that was something. He knew who Dai was. Therefore, he had something to do with the Gotei 13... and Dai was CERTAIN that he knew, but who was he? He shook his head a couple of times, and sighed.

"I'm sorry - but who are you?" That was the question he was about to ask, before finding himself teleported through space. Okay, this was certainly weird. And Dai felt that man's Reiatsu - it was on par with his when he was in Assimilation, wasn't it? At least, that was the amount of power he could feel from him, his potential.

So he had a Captain-Commander Level Reiatsu. That narrowed shit down nicely. Unfortunately, the last Captain-Commander died before his eyes. So who the hell WAS this guy? He shook his head again, and looked around. Okay... WHERE WERE THEY?

"Sorry for the abrupt little transfer but i wanted to talk to you a little bit if you wouldnt' mind, Daigoro." He looked back at the man with careful eyes.

"Normally I don't converse with people who take me from my nice tea and dumpling break. But I think I'll make an exception for the man who seems like he could kill me anyway."

.:Kohaku Kioshi:.

The Demon of Mirrors

Meeting in the Strangest Places... KOHAKU-6

Arriving at the place that Kohaku knew very well there was the sound of the flowing water, the birds chirping in the air, you could smell the smoke that was coming from the hut next to them both as the wind blew Kohaku's hair back and forth, taking off the cloak now he then tossed it aside as it landed with a soft thud, he had on a shinigami uniform but their was nothing on it to tell you what kind of shinigami position he had or anything like that, you could certainly tell that he was strong just by the way he carried himself, especially having no sword on him, emphasizing no need of the sword if he was going to go up against someone that was in the least bit strong. Kohaku's red hair went down to about his neck and all you could tell from his appearance is that this man was actually apart of one of the biggest clans throughout shinigami history, Redwood, that was the clan's name. The clan that was famous for having red hair and green eyes and known for being very very strong.

"My name, Kohaku Kioshi, you might know me however as a man named Daniel Redwood, you might not remember him as any key figure but you might remember that he is the head of the Redwood family as of right now." Kohaku could tell that this man was already interested in who he was and knowing that his reiatsu was now leaking out he knew that this man could be under the assumption that he had an idea of who Kohaku was but no remember exactly who he was.

"Well how about we go ahead and go into this little hut i have some tea and dumplings actually." Kohaku started walking toward the hut, knowing very well that he had caught Dai's attention enough so that he would actually follow him. "Also we can go ahead and restore that 'lost' memory of yours if you'd like." Smirking a little bit he then moved inside of the hut and then walked over sitting down in front of the fire that was cooking the tea and dumplings. "If you would sit down i can go ahead and get you some of this tea and dumplings." He motioned toward the seat across from him. After they ate a little bit he would go ahead and restore the lost memory for him.

Meeting in the Strangest Places... Dai

"My name, Kohaku Kioshi, you might know me however as a man named Daniel Redwood, you might not remember him as any key figure but you might remember that he is the head of the Redwood family as of right now." Redwood, Redwood, he rolled both that, and Kohaku Kioshi over in his mind, mulling over the idea of the name. Nope, no bells were to be rung by that. He'd heard of the Redwood clan, that was for sure, but he never really took enough notice of it to care. With a small sigh, he shook his head again.

"Well how about we go ahead and go into this little hut i have some tea and dumplings actually."

...

Tea and Dumplings. Aw, COME ON! This man had taken him, from a tea and dumpling break in Rukongai... for tea and dumplings in a rather unknown location. If the redhead hadn't already noticed the fact that this 'Kohaku Kioshi', the man he felt that could kill him with a single attempt, and already knew his name, Dai would've punched him for good measure. He felt his annoyance slowly growing as he obediently followed him into the hut.

"Also we can go ahead and restore that 'lost' memory of yours if you'd like."

"If there's something to restore, go right ahead." He shrugged lightly, and looked down at the seat that 'Kohaku Kioshi' had pointed at. He blinked a couple of times, and took a seat, looking over at this man with a slightly frustrated look on his face.

"If you would sit down i can go ahead and get you some of this tea and dumplings." Well, he was sitting.

"I'm still suspicious."

.:Kohaku Kioshi:.

The Demon of Mirrors

Meeting in the Strangest Places... KOHAKU-6

"See but there is something to restore, Daigoro Ito, Captain Commander. Who do you think was Captain Commander between the time that Yamamoto died in front of your eyes and now? You don't think the seat was just vacant do you?" He raised one of his eyebrows in the normal Kohaku fashion. "Kagami, come forth." Just then a little girl came out from behind a little couch, almost like she was hiding but the odd part was that her body almost looked as if it was like that of a ghost, what Dai probably didn't know was that Kagami was his zanpakuto spirit, she came over to Kohaku and wrapped her arms around him, a mirror floated right above her hands as she held onto him. "Yes Kohaku-Senpai?!" The little girl then turned and then waved over toward Dai and smiled at him. "Hello Dai-chan!" Almost as if she already knew him, with a gentle smile on her face she then turned back toward Kohaku. "He doesn't remember me does he?" Kohaku then turned his head to look down at his zanpakuto spirit. "No he does not but that's about to change." He then handed the Captain Commander a cup of tea and then handed him a little dumpling.

"There is reason to be suspicious, but if you know how close you are to the Soul King, i am going to tell you this, I am his personal body guard, my Zanpakuto is Kagami the ice goddess of mirrors. And i am Kohaku Kioshi, 0 Division Captain and ex Captain Commander of the Gotei 13." That would surprise Dai and also make it so that he was actually trusted, if even in the least bit, all he needed to do was release the kido that was placed on him.

Getting up from his spot he then started walking toward Dai. "Please if you would remain still, you have something that we call, Wasurete (Forget), this is what is making you not remember me or who exactly i am, but i am only going to release it on you." Walking around him and to his side he then placed his hand on Dai's head. "Ten'nō no kuraun wa,-kō no naka de abi re, shōjiki no shūshū wa, saiken issho ni, watashi no koe ni mimi o katamukeru jikan o dōro maindo. Ten-byō takara no yoyaku wa, akarukute,-shin. Bakudo number 99 part 2 Chūi shite kudasai." Markings appeared all along the ground, twisting and turning every which way until all of the markings converged onto one point, and that was Dai's body.

Meeting in the Strangest Places... Dai

"See but there is something to restore, Daigoro Ito, Captain Commander. Who do you think was Captain Commander between the time that Yamamoto died in front of your eyes and now? You don't think the seat was just vacant do you?"

"You mean for that week? No idea. I thought they were just in disarray." The redhead shrugged - he had been made Captain-Commander a week after the incident. He shrugged it off, as Kohaku called forth a small girl. He blinked a couple times, and looked at her carefully. She had a mirror in her hands, and seemed to be floating.

"Hello Dai-chan!" He blinked at her. How... how did she know who he was? He peered at her for a second, before she spoke to Kohaku, and they began to converse. He blinked again. What didn't he remember? He was desperately searching for a hole in his memory - but there was nothing, it had been cleanly tied up. He shook his head, and suddenly heard Kohaku speak one more time.

"There is reason to be suspicious, but if you know how close you are to the Soul King, i am going to tell you this, I am his personal body guard, my Zanpakuto is Kagami the ice goddess of mirrors. And i am Kohaku Kioshi, 0 Division Captain and ex Captain Commander of the Gotei 13." He reacted a little differently to this one. Ex-Captain Commander? Before Yamamoto? No, Yamamoto died during the fight against Heroism - then when? Dai had already been Captain-Commander for the past five years, so where? Unless Yamamoto actually retired some time during his term... These questions were all going through Dai's head - maybe this man, or this, or this? He shook his head again, and looked at him cautiously, eyes narrowed slightly.

"Please if you would remain still, you have something that we call, Wasurete (Forget), this is what is making you not remember me or who exactly i am, but i am only going to release it on you." His eyes were still narrowed in suspicion, and he watched the man approach him, and place his hand onto the Captain's red hair. He looked up, slightly worried.

Ten'nō no kuraun wa,-kō no naka de abi re, shōjiki no shūshū wa, saiken issho ni, watashi no koe ni mimi o katamukeru jikan o dōro maindo. Ten-byō takara no yoyaku wa, akarukute,-shin. Bakudo number 99 part 2 Chūi shite kudasai." Markings appeared around Dai and began to approach him. He looked at them, somehow feeling a worry - was it a fear of the unknown? A fear of what lay ahead? He shuddered slightly, before the markings finally converged onto his body, and started to spread up his body. A slightly worried cry left the redhead's mouth, but the markings kept going, and suddenly into his mind.

He felt a sharp pain, like someone was opening stitches that had once been closed. He closed his eyes and grunted slightly, now feeling the hole in his memory, begging to be filled. He shouted out, and suddenly felt an influx of old memories - images of a redheaded Captain Commander, just before the ryoka incident, and the winter war. For some reason, he left, and Yamamoto took back the position. Why was that? Why was he the Captain-Commander, then? Dai shook his head, and the last memory slotted into place. He opened his eyes, but wider than before, staring at the ground and shaking slightly, sweat dripping off his brow.

"I remember... I remember now. Kohaku...Taicho. Wait... SENSEI!" Dai suddenly went onto his knees, touching the ground with his forehead in a direct apology to Kohaku.

"I couldn't do it. Even with the power of the Triad, I couldn't stop Yamamoto's death, I couldn't stop Heroism from sealing the gates." His head was bowed, and he was truly sorry.

Kohaku... Dai remembered now. He couldn't believe he'd forgotten this man... This man who helped him gain Bankai, this man who helped him see the truth of his own zanpakuto, allowing him to create the true amalgamation of Kiba Ookami, the Triad of Souls.

{Yes, I made shit up... But you got the time of Dai's Captaincy wrong. He'd been made CC a week after Heroism.}

.:Kohaku Kioshi:.

The Demon of Mirrors

Meeting in the Strangest Places... KOHAKU-6

Kohaku watched him, as he had casted the kido he knew that Dai was very, very uneasy just the fact that a total stranger just casted a kido what could be running through that mans head right now, was it that this kido could truly actually be a kido that would send Dai to his death or what was it? Maybe that's what Dai was thinking until the kido was finally finished and then Dai looked over at Kohaku. Kohaku smiled a little bit and so did Kagami, they both realized that Dai had finally come back to them, his student that he had taught how to use bankai was finally back in his right mind and knowing who Kohaku was. He then walked back over to his side as Kagami stayed next to Dai now hugging him tightly even though he probably couldn't feel it he then saw Dai apologizing to him.

"It's perfectly fine my young discipline but i think it's time for your final stages of training, so drink some of the tea and then meet me outside, without your sword, i am going to teach you one final thing as well you cannot use any of your shinigami powers starting right now, none at all, no shunpo or anything like that." Kohaku stated and then placed his sword down as Kagami disappeared and then wandered outside before going to the stream that was flowing nearby.

Kohaku had trained someone with this once before and he knew exactly how he was going to do it, now all he needed to do was wait for Dai to come outside and then he would begin with the training of the last technique that Dai needed to know.

Meeting in the Strangest Places... Dai

"It's perfectly fine my young discipline but i think it's time for your final stages of training, so drink some of the tea and then meet me outside, without your sword, i am going to teach you one final thing as well you cannot use any of your shinigami powers starting right now, none at all, no shunpo or anything like that." A new technique, huh. Maybe it would be best for him to be weaker than he was. The redhead stood up and took himself out of his apologetic stance. He wiped himself off, and shook his head.

"I cannot comply with that, not completely." He sighed softly, and placed his left hand onto his right, touching the tattoo of the wolf's head with the tips of his index and middle left fingers.

"I am the bone of my defense,
the heart is the lone wolf.
The smile on the face of fate,
shows me the clear path.
Life is an ever-changing dream, dreams and souls alike!

Bakudo no Gojuukyuu; Midori Shiru."
As soon as he had spoken that chant, the tattoo glowed, and he felt his strength drain away from him, and into the seal itself. He sighed, and let it end, feeling his strength reduced to that of a weak Vice-Captain. With a small smile on his face, he walked outside to where Kohaku was, and cast off his Captain's Haori with a slight yawn. If he was going to do this, he was going to do it as a Student, as he had always done it - weak, and with nothing to show his strength. He was going in blind, and alone. The redhead took a stance and watched him carefully.

.:Kohaku Kioshi:.

The Demon of Mirrors

Meeting in the Strangest Places... KOHAKU-6

He could feel that his little apprentice's power had now been drained from himself, he wandered what had just happened just now but he didn't really pay much attention to it he just thought he lowered his spiritual pressure on purpose he had no clue that it was basically a limiter. "Don't worry it's not that your going to need spiritual pressure or anything like that, it's basically that i want you to survive out here without using any powers at all, meaning you have to build your own shelter and get your own food as well, this will go on until tomorrow and by tomorrow." There was a slight pause as Kohaku had then punched as fast as he could to the back of Dai's head, making sure to stop and bring his fist back right before he had hit him. Moving so fast that there was no way that Dai would notice it. "Now you might want to go get food and then come back here after your done." Kohaku then walked over to the river, his mine calm.

It was hard to catch fish with your bare hand if you didn't take into consideration your reach and where the fish would go and everything like that, Kohaku had became calm and then in seconds he had already gotten 5 fish with his bare hands. Without using the technique Kohaku called Seikuken you wouldn't actually be able to catch the fish just with your bare hands. He then made a small fire next to the water and then began to heat up the fish. "You have to find your own food i will not be helping you, here's a axe if you need to use it for collecting firewood or something like that." He then proceeded to toss Dai the axe as it landed with a thunk on the ground, while he was getting the axe Kohaku would punch toward the back of Dai's head, fast enough so that he wouldn't notice it, not without Seikuken being active.

"Ill be watching over you and will be yelling at you if you even use a hint of your shinigami powers, you got that Dai?" He questioned as he began to eat his fish.

Meeting in the Strangest Places... Dai

"Don't worry it's not that your going to need spiritual pressure or anything like that, it's basically that i want you to survive out here without using any powers at all, meaning you have to build your own shelter and get your own food as well, this will go on until tomorrow and by tomorrow." Hm. That was an interesting test. The redhead sighed softly, and followed Kohaku over to the river, wondering what he meant by it all - was Dai going to have to live like this? He looked around and saw the trees and everything. Hmm... he wasn't allowed to use Shinigami powers, righ-- What... was that?

His eyes narrowed slightly. A small wisp of air behind his head. Normally, he wouldn't be suspicious, but it intrigued him for some reason. Ah, well. The redheaded Shinigami shrugged, and watched Kohaku catch... fish with his bare hands. What... the hell? Dai marveled slightly at this, for about five seconds. With a small yawn, he then watched Kohaku proceed to make a fire. Well, this was certainly interesting.

"You have to find your own food i will not be helping you, here's a axe if you need to use it for collecting firewood or something like that." Ah. Dai bent down to pick up the ax... and felt it again. The wisp of air. He blinked. Once... it was happenstance. Twice, it was coincidence. But three times? Three times, and it was enemy action. He stood back up straight and looked at Kohaku calmly. Strange... With a slightly confused shake of his head, he went over to the water and knelt down, watching the fish dart around. He knew that he wasn't quite fast enough to catch them. But maybe... he could do it differently? He looked at the tree and smiled. He had all the tools that he needed. Vines, sticks, everything.

"Ill be watching over you and will be yelling at you if you even use a hint of your shinigami powers, you got that Dai?"

"...Eh. I figured that one already." He walked over to the first tree that he saw, and jumped, grabbing onto a branch, before pulling himself up with a grunt. He balanced himself on the branch, and started to hack into the wood, before long he had a nice long bough to use. As he threw it off the tree, he felt himself start to topple, and couldn't hold on properly, falling out of the tree.

...Luckily this branch wasn't too high off the ground, then. He reached out an arm and stopped himself on the ground, rebounding and flipping himself onto his feet with a grunt. He rubbed his slightly hurting arm, and dropped the ax into the ground with a sigh. Alright. The bough he'd cut off had enough length, and some pretty sinewy vines, so he sat down, picked up the ax, held it by the head, and got to work cutting strips off of the vine. About twenty minutes of work later, he had a good net, with holes in it about the size of the fish heads. He smiled triumphantly, and walked over to the stream, placing the net in a narrow part. He then walked back up the stream and jumped in the water, scaring the fish into swimming down towards the net, and trying to swim through.

They got their heads stuck, and the redhead pulled the net out of the water, dropping it onto the ground and letting the fish asphyxiate to death. Now to deal to his fire problem. He looked back at the tree he'd climbed before. No sense in wasting a good tree. He jumped up and climbed onto the branch again, before taking another couple of boughs off the trunk. He actually managed to get down on his feet this time, and cut the boughs into smaller pieces with a slightly puffed sigh. Once he'd done that... How did he make fire? He looked over at Kohaku's fire and narrowed his eyes slightly. Could he...? Nah... He looked around and tried to see if there was any fire sources around. ...eh.

Dai groaned again and looked on the ground by the water. Aha! A dry stone! He could use it in conjunction with the ax to make the sparks needed for fire! Now... for dry material. Looking around again, he spotted a few dry reeds over in the distance. He moved over and picked them, making sure he had enough. He walked back to his now hut-shaped pile of firewood, placed the grasses under the wood and brought the stone up to the head of his ax, starting to chip at it, and trying to cause some kind of spark. Nothing. He groaned slightly, and drooped his head with a sigh.

The Demon of Mirrors

Meeting in the Strangest Places... KOHAKU-6

Watching this powerless Shinigami try and survive out here made him chuckle a little bit, this was what he was like when he was starting to just learn this technique, he knew what he thought he could do and used that to be able to do it, eating the fish that he had got by hand he noticed that Dai was using a net, chuckling a little bit he was surprised that the shinigami that was in front of him didn't try and do it the same way that he had just done it. He thought he would throw in a little something for Dai. "You know your actually able to catch the fish the same way i did without actually using any of your shinigami powers. It's actually quite fantastic." He commented. "You just have to picture yourself as a rock inside a river, everything flowing around you." He then used flash step and punched right behind Dai's head and then flash stepped back, slowly he knew that Dai would try and sense what was happening behind him but without the Seikuken he would not be able to do it. Kohaku was back to his little camp site before he could do anything more.

He then stood around in the middle of nowhere kicking the the tree really quick he then went into a almost calm state, moving his hands around almost like he was making the Seikuken, using the distance of his hands as guidelines. Acorns started to fall down 1 after another, closing his eyes he could see the flow of the acorns as he grabbed them out of mid air, not using any reaitsu or anything like that he just grabbed the acorns as they fell on after the other, afterwards just walking back to his little camp and setting them down, he had already made himself a large hut, gathered a lot a lot of food already including some fruit and some acorns as well as fish. He was set for the time being. Looking back over toward Dai he noticed the man was trying to light the wood that he had gathered, Kohaku then tossed a flint up into the air as it came sailing back down if Dai looked up toward the piece of flint all he would see is the sun, he had to guess where the flint was, just like Kohaku had done with getting the acorns just now.

As the flint was falling back down he then said it again. "Like a rock in a river, everything flows around you." He then turned around but not before aiming a kick now to the back of Dai's head and then retreating quickly without Dai noticing what he did. Walking back over to the fire he had and then sitting back down.

Meeting in the Strangest Places... Dai

"You know your actually able to catch the fish the same way i did without actually using any of your shinigami powers. It's actually quite fantastic. You just have to picture yourself as a rock inside a river, everything flowing around you." Easy enough for him to say. He already knew how to do it. Dai was flying blindly here. Hell, he was only guessing half the stuff that was going on right now - the rest owas purely instinct. He sighed softly, and... there it was again.

You know that thing he thought before? About three times being enemy action? He was now convinced. Kohaku was doing something. He sighed softly, and turned towards the man who was now standing beside a tree. ...eh? He watched him calmly, seeing the motion that he made with his hands and trying to mimic it - maybe he'd figure it out? Nope. Nothing going on. Kohaku... had just gathered each and every one of the acorns... Wh-- what?! Dai could all but watch in wonder as he did so. That was just... did he have some amazing reaction time or something? He shook his head in amazement - his own reactions were tuned to nigh perfect timings. But this was just too much.

Kohaku walked back over to his camp, and threw the flint high into the air. Dai blinked and watched it come down... Sadly, he was a little too involved in the watching, and felt it hit him in the face - square on the nose. He groaned, and the flint bounced away, under the campfire hut-thingie. He sighed, and stood up, going to walk over to pick it up, when...

"...I wonder..." The feeling suddenly came behind him again, a stronger wisp of air this time. He smirked, but hid it. So, Kohaku was testing him. He sighed softly, and reached under the hut, picking up the flint and striking it a few times, his confusion dissipating, leaving him calm once more, and simply considering the man's advice over and over in his head. A strike of the flint was a bit hard, and his arm went down quickly, knocking a stick up into the air and over past Dai's head. He blinked and casually raised his arm to knock it out of the way, before putting it down and using the flint again... Wait, what?

Okay... what'd I just do? He brought his arm down again to try and knock another stick past himself, and ended up having it fly full-force into his face. He groaned and rubbed his nose. One-shot wonder? Who knew? He laughed, and finally got the fire crackling, and fish cooking.

.:Kohaku Kioshi:.

The Demon of Mirrors

Meeting in the Strangest Places... KOHAKU-6

The sun was starting to go down a little bit as Dai was working on some stuff, Kohaku was now sitting down over his fire after eating the fish that he had caught and was studying Dai's movements, little by little he could tell Dai was getting calmer. The reason that Kohaku had brought him here was mainly for that reason, the calming feeling of the forest was always a good thing when they were training like this, even Kohaku's master had taught him like this and he had taught Tai Yuudai already how to use this form now it was time for Dai, hopefully he could master this soon because soon enough Kohaku knew there was gonna be something that was gonna go on, specially with the thing that was happening very soon with getting the base set up on earth for the new division in gotei 13.

Kohaku then noticed something, after he had thrown the flint over to Dai and he started to strike the flint he had flung a twig at himself on complete accident and because he was calm enough his mind was like a rock in the river he was able to slap it out of the air with the slightest movement. Kohaku smiled a little bit and then watched as Dai was surprised, shaking his head a little bit he knew Dai was gonna try again to do the same thing, but his mind wasn't the same at that point, it was tainted just a little bit by the surprise that he had just had. "The reason that you didn't do it again was mainly because of the fact that you were surprised, and that surprised even in the slightest effected the overall calmness that you had achieved only moments ago.

"Heh, i think it's about time i go ahead and show him exactly what it is that he's going up against right now, don't you Kagami?" His little zanpakuto spirit nodded her head a little bit, Kohaku then stood up and began to walk over toward Dai. "You used it even subconsciously so that's see you use it consciously." The wind blew a little bit making Kohaku's hair dance around a little bit, Kagami had then vanished from next to him he then stood perfectly still, closing his eyes as he moved his hands at their maximum length all around him. "This is your Seikuken, the area around you that's in your reach, if anything comes into this area you are to fend it off, Dai." He opened his eyes and there seemed to be a calmness in his eyes now. "Now that you have used it even a little bit it is time to take it to the next level, remember that feeling that you just had well and come and try to attack me." He was edging him on a little bit, he wanted to see if Dai could learn it a bit faster through the training that he was about to undergo, Kohaku would attack him, not to kill but to train and try and see if he could pull off the Seikuken that Kohaku was now using.

Meeting in the Strangest Places... Dai

"The reason that you didn't do it again was mainly because of the fact that you were surprised, and that surprised even in the slightest effected the overall calmness that you had achieved only moments ago."

...huh. So, that was it, huh? He smiled softly, understanding it a little more than before. It was all to do with the state of his mind, this 'Seikuken' thing was. So, how to go about this? He thought for a couple of seconds, still a little confused, but finally relaxing once more. His arms dropped, and he sighed softly, closing his eyes and concentrating on that feeling that he'd felt earlier. How to do that...?

"Heh, i think it's about time i go ahead and show him exactly what it is that he's going up against right now, don't you Kagami?" The sound of crunching footsteps alerted him to the approach of Kohaku.

"You used it even subconsciously so that's see you use it consciously."

"Oh, I see..." He didn't stop looking down, keeping quiet, keeping his mind straight and silent.

"This is your Seikuken, the area around you that's in your reach, if anything comes into this area you are to fend it off, Dai." He opened his eyes, finally, and looked over at Kohaku, with a careful eye.

"Within my reach?" He stood up, and mimicked Kohaku's motions, trying to form an area around his body within arms length. He kept his mind calm... was there something else there? He could feel something at the tips of his fingers, but not much else.

"Now that you have used it even a little bit it is time to take it to the next level, remember that feeling that you just had well and come and try to attack me."

"...No." His voice was flat and emotionless. He wasn't rejecting Kohaku's orders, but he was in the process of doing something else on his own. He breathed in deeply, and exhaled, staring at the man with empty eyes. He was now an emotionless and calm shell, and nothing was there to affect him. He was simply a tool in the hands of Gods, and he would do what they ordered him to.

As his mind slowly descended into nonchalance and pure calm, he felt that feeling at the edges of his fingers grow, and dropped his hands into a defensive position. He was not thinking of emotion, nor of motion - just of that feeling. All his mind was thinking of was that feeling.

"...come. I want you to attack me." He was ready - at least, he thought he was ready.

.:Kohaku Kioshi:.

The Demon of Mirrors

Meeting in the Strangest Places... KOHAKU-6

"Yes, within your reach, this is the area that you control with Seikuken, and when fighting another user that has Seikuken, it is almost like chess, trying to occupy each other's space and take over their king." He stated and then he noticed something, not surprised or anything like that he had saw what Dai was doing, mimicking the movements that Kohaku was making just moments ago. He had noticed that Dai's mind was incredibly clear as he wasn't even expressing any emotion at all and he could tell. "I see now make sure that you keep that feeling that you have right now, the pure calm state." He then started slowly walking toward Dai, the wind blowing back and forth the fresh small of the forest lingering on this little battlefield that was just about it happen, he was inching forward to Dai until Kohaku's Seikuken was within Dai's 'range' then he went a little bit closer.

Kohaku wasn't going to attack just yet, usually when your using seikuken you get into their range and then the battle begins, one hit after another, deflecting dodging and everything like that the battles would go on for a long time until one person out smarted the other or used something else other then hand to hand combat.

Just then it started, Kohaku punched straight forward to Dai's chest and then after it connected with some he ducked down and then spun around trying to kick his legs out from under him. The part that was weak was the legs, because Seikuken really was only with your arms unless you were truly skilled you could make it even bigger but with that it was less protected if you did make the seikuken any bigger becasue you would have less reaction time. That would however leave him open if he didn't spin back around and then sit down in Seiza, looking directly at him, Seiza was regarded as sitting proper but in reality it was actually a stance, this stance would make it so that the weakness of Seikuken was null and void seeing as how now he was sitting down and his seikuken went all the way to the ground now.

Meeting in the Strangest Places... Dai

"Yes, within your reach, this is the area that you control with Seikuken, and when fighting another user that has Seikuken, it is almost like chess, trying to occupy each other's space and take over their king." Words. They had no meaning to Daigoro. He wasn't listening. His mind was concentrating on one thing - keeping the Seikuken active. He kept his hands in the defensive stance, keeping his breathing calm and firm. No thoughts went through his head, Kohaku's words flowing over him like water.

"I see now make sure that you keep that feeling that you have right now, the pure calm state." Dai opened his eyes to look at Kohaku, the irises empty, void of anything bar color. His mind was empty, and his heart was beating slowly - he was focusing on the feeling of Seikuken, and the beating of his heart. As the heart beat, as did the pulse of his Seikuken... And then Kohaku stepped forwards, Dai barely registering it as he moved.

The fist entered the space, and all Dai did was block it. He just blocked it, but looked down just in time to see the feet sweeping for his legs. He jumped back slightly, and kept watching, a slight break in his concentration, nothing too major. He returned to his stance, making sure that he had no emotion left whatsoever.

"Nice try." His voice was flat. Dead. Like there was nothing there. The redhead inched towards Kohaku again, who had finally returned to his original stance. No need to move too fast.

.:Kohaku Kioshi:.

The Demon of Mirrors

Meeting in the Strangest Places... KOHAKU-6

As he was sitting down the wind blew through his hair as he closed his eyes a little bit, breathing deeply he then opened them again, sighing deeply, looking at Dai that was about 5 meters away from him. " Seems that your beginning to get it very well, better then i expected. Maybe you can reach the second stage faster then the other person that i trained did, i however have not been able to do the second stage in the Seikuken, but that might just be because i have never actually tried to train myself in it because i haven't needed it, but you might need it so if you would like you can find the person that i trained and question him after we are finished with this." Flicking his wrist out toward nowhere, what Dai didn't notice because of the fact that he had sealed his powers is that Kohaku was actually in Shikai right now, he had just made a inaudible kido cast toward nowhere, it was meant to bounce off of a mirror that he had placed in the forest a little while ago, this was to mainly show Dai that the limits of the Seikuken haven't been found out yet because you can actually sense the kido blasts when they enter the Seikuken as well which helped out a lot with Kohaku whenever he would use his bankai he would make sure that he enhanced his Seikuken to make it a much wider Seikuken and he could easily control where the kido was going in his Bankai form a lot easier.

As Kohaku was casting the kido suddenly the air started to get a bit chilly, it actually wasn't the temperature getting colder it was the fact that Kohaku was actually releasing a small amount of reaitsu as he was casting the kido, the wind started blowing a bit faster as the kido was bouncing from one place to the other, going around and through trees and knocking off a few tree branches.

Two bounces that the kido had taken, because of Kohaku using a kido without saying it's name or reciting the incantation it was a lot less powerful, on top of that it was just a sho, a push of sorts that would just push him and maybe get him off balance a little bit but then after that Kohaku just started shooting off more and more 'sho' from every different direction, one after another they would come straight toward Dai and he would have to mainly dodge them, Kohaku wanted to teach him that even though in Seikuken sometimes it was best to dodge and not actually try and block every single thing, Seikuekn wasn't a state of invincibility it is merely a state of calm that helps bring the potential of the mind out and display it.

"Dodge them all Dai, you won't be able to dodge them all unless you make your movements, movements without any extra movements, minimize your movements so that you don't waste any time, make them the smallest movements that you can in order to dodge them all. Shrink." Putting emphasize on the word 'shrink' "The Seikuken." Kohaku was trying to see if he could pull the potential of the Ryuusei Seikuken out of Dai without actually having to go find the person that had invented the Ryuusei Seikuken. The Ryuusei Seikuken was actually the 2nd step of perfecting the Seikuken, it was making the layer of Seikuken a small thin layer around your body as to minimize the actual movements that had to be made in order to dodge or block the stuff that was coming at one self.

'Lets see how he can do.' He was now speaking to his Zanpakuto spirit as he was casting the kido, after casting at least 50 of them he then stopped to see exactly how Dai would do. As he could see the kido hitting the ground or Dai he counted off 25 sho's and then unexpectedly released a huge amount of spiritual pressure as to just startle Dai, maybe throw him out of his calm state that he was in right now. In a battle when using Seikuken you couldn't even let the smallest thing take you out of the state or else it could get you killed.

Meeting in the Strangest Places... Dai

In this small time, his mind and body had now become separate from each other. He was no longer aware of the world outside his arm's length. His eyes were open, but not purely focused on any single organism. Nothing mattered anymore, save for that little realm that he had created within his arms reach.

" Seems that...very well...you can...faster then...i however...the second stage." Every other word was lost to Dai, and his mind was simply flowing in this small space around him. His eyes were blankly opened, and the red irises had faded to a pure white. To anybody from outside, he would appear to be in a trance, of some kind. Of course, that was pretty much the truth. Dai's mind was no longer attached to his body, and then...

A small chill entered the area. Dai didn't take much heed of it, not realizing that it was Kohaku's Reiatsu. The white eyes closed slowly, preparing for anything that would occur. Because he'd removed himself from everything that wasn't in the area, Daigoro had no notion of occurrences from the outside world, but he did know every little detail that was going on in this small area that he had created, from the fly that buzzed it's way past, to the small specks of dust.

And that's when the first Kidou burst into his space. Unlike the other objects that entered his area, which he recognized as Reiatsu-Neutral, Daigoro instantly focussed on this as being Reiatsu-Red. He moved slightly, letting it fly past his body that was given the blue aura. His eyes opened, the now-white orbs focusing on nothing, apparently. Each of the kidou began to enter the area he had created, soon enough the area around him was purely red, Dai moving his body subtly every time a kidou came too close. Not only were they red, but they were bright, denoting power. How could Dai discern this? Because his own body was dull, denoting physical. In a concise sense, Daigoro was thinking over every little piece of this at once, and yet he wasn't thinking at all... Only one or two kidou hit him, knocking him back slightly and only breaking his concentration a little - this caused his eyes to flicker pink and his vision of the small world around him to disappear slightly...

.:Kohaku Kioshi:.

The Demon of Mirrors

Meeting in the Strangest Places... KOHAKU-6

Watching Dai intently, he studied the movements that he was making, watching as almost every Kidou except for two of them which had hit him, knocking him off balance he noticed that something was a miss though, when he had fluctuated his reaitsu to try and get Dai to become a little off guard Dai didn't really pay much attention to it he then chuckled a little bit, he realized something that was not a good thing for Dai and if someone else noticed what he had just realized then it wouldn't be a good thing. Dai was only paying attention to what was coming inside of the Seikuken, outside of the Seikuken he really wasn't bothered too much about it, or that's what Kohaku thought, he was going to show Dai this weakness. If the weakness was actually there, if so then Dai's Seikuken would be very situational. After the barrage had all hit he had then looked straight at Dai. "Delayed Kido, Hiryugekizokushintenraiho!" Just as he said that out loud you could see sparks coming from his hand as he flash stepped right in front of Dai pointing his palm straight toward him.

"Dai." He spoke softly but he made sure that it would reach him behind the barrier that was Seikuken, behind the mind set that he now had. "Your Seikuken is good but what you must realize is that it is very situational and if somewhere realizes that your Seikuken also gets rid of a lot of your sense outside of the Seikuken then this could easily happen and you could be brought into a very bad situation." He paused for a moment making sure that Dai saw exactly what could have came directly at him, he then raised his hand into the air, letting out a torrent of lightning straight into the sky, bursting through the clouds making them disperse, a giant hole now in the cloud right above them.

"Now if you think you know the Seikuken well enough you must work with it and try and make it so that it is your own, if you wish you can remove that limit that you placed onto yourself earlier, i want to see what your Seikuken will be like if you are using your full power, hopefully that weakness will be destroyed when your using your full power, if not you will have to train to make it better, refine it and make it your own." He then sighed a little bit as he walked over toward the hut and sat down on a log that he had once cut in order to make the hut that stood out there. "Do you have any questions about the Seikuken, Daigoro?" Whenever he actually used Dai's full name he was actually being more serious then the normal, that means that he was addressing Dai as his teacher, his mentor.

Meeting in the Strangest Places... DaiHeaderNew

"Delayed Kido, Hiryugekizokushintenraiho!" The redhead gritted his teeth from within the Seikuken that he had created. Unlike the rest of the attacks, he could hear and understand Kohaku coming from the outside world. This was because of a rather simple concept; he had been distracted. Because of this distraction, he had been forced to allow more vision of the outside world in. And so, he was becoming more aware of more than just this little orb that he'd created. Instead, he had built a more solid picture of his surroundings. But it still wouldn't be enough in the battlefield, would it? No, no it wouldn't. He heard the sound of Kohaku's feet landing on the ground before him, and waiting for him to speak, as he knew that the man would.

"Dai." That single word shocked his system slightly, and he stepped backwards from his position, the Seikuken that he was within fluctuating further. Gah, this was difficult to keep up. He tried to return to the same mindset that he had been within earlier, but to no avail. A single hand clenched into a fist, and the Seikuken suddenly faded, Dai's concentration completely lost to the winds along with his Seikuken. He reopened his eyes, the red hues returning to them. "Your Seikuken is good but what you must realize is that it is very situational and if somewhere realizes that your Seikuken also gets rid of a lot of your sense outside of the Seikuken then this could easily happen and you could be brought into a very bad situation." Hm? He tilted his head to the side, and suddenly...

"HRRRRGH!" He gritted his teeth tightly as the Kidou collided with his body, sending electricity throughout his system. Standing there, after that second, was a slightly smoking Daigoro, not faltering, not falling, as was his credence. He had closed his eyes from the shock, and as he opened his eyes to face Kohaku, he didn't make any motions of pain, nor or injury.

"Immune to pain, yet showing all scars..." Those words were barely whispered from Dai's mouth, holding little to no meaning to the man before him, yet every meaning in the world to Daigoro. He smiled softly, and looked at the man with a pair of powerful eyes. "Now if you think you know the Seikuken well enough you must work with it and try and make it so that it is your own, if you wish you can remove that limit that you placed onto yourself earlier, i want to see what your Seikuken will be like if you are using your full power, hopefully that weakness will be destroyed when your using your full power, if not you will have to train to make it better, refine it and make it your own." He smiled and nodded, stepping backwards from Kohaku and slipping his fingers onto the seal on the back of his hand.

"I am the bone of my defense,
the heart is the lone wolf.
The smile on the face of fate,
shows me the clear path.
Life is an ever-changing dream, dreams and souls alike!

Bakudo no Gojuukyuu; Midori Shiru."
Speaking the Kidou once more, the seal crackled with the white-lightning that was Dai's Reiatsu, and shattered the bonds that held his strength to his body. He let it flow through him, and let himself disconnect once more, speaking a chant in order to calm his mind.

"Immune to pain, yet showing all scars.

I am like the white cloud, that surrounds the blue mountain.

Everything is one, one is all, nothing is true, everything is permitted.

Blue Mountain, White Cloud, Seikuken..."
