Personality: A regal man at heart, David is kind and fair to all those that exist below him. He chooses his battles wisely, and is not reckless enough to endanger himself for the sake of a thrill like fighting. TO be completely honest, he doesn't really have that enjoyment for fighting like a lot of people, instead choosing to fight simply for the sake of protecting, or maybe a friendly spar every once in a while.
He puts the needs of others first, and tries to hear every side of the story; sadly, he has a disdain for Hollows and Arrancar, thanks to the Hollow Invasion. He protects Moscow with all his heart and soul. However, his charitable and protecting nature is also his weakness. He is exceptionally gullible for traps, and will fall into them with ease.
He is also semi-womanizing, but respectful to them; so if he sees a woman that he knows is taken, or not interested, he will stop. In all truth, David is extremely respectful and chivalrous, in a world where Chivalry is dead.
He has a tactical and analytical mind, and plans battles like he plays Chess.
Powers: David has powers that allow him to create elemental attacks through any weapon that he holds, no matter what form said weapon takes - this is limited to four different attacks, however. All abilities are one use, one cooldown.
Spark: By focusing electrical energy through the weapon, David can strike the opponent and cause electrical damage.
Flame Ring: By focusing fire energy through the weapon, David is able to strike down on the ground and send five rings of fire out from him - the center. These rings expand for ten meters and then dissipate. They are two meters high.
Whirlwind: By focusing wind energy through the weapon, David spins around a single time and sends a whirl of energy flying towards a target. This continues until it hits something, and its two meters tall.
Wave Strike: By focusing water energy through the weapon, David can bring his blade down and send a wave of water with the cutting force of a sword at a target. This goes for ten meters.
All abilities are doubled in strength and size when under the influence of the Valeria Heart.
Also, David's aging has been stunted; and he will live about three times as long as a normal human before he dies, due to the Guardianship of the Valeria Heart.

Background
History: Thirty years ago, the unthinkable happened. A Sugiura fell in love - with a human woman. Yes, a human woman. This age-old Sugiura, the protector of the Conceptual Weapon Valeria Heart, fell in love. And he had a child, one which he had already marked to bequeath his own weapon upon; making him the new Guardian. It's unknown why he chose to give Guardianship of his treasure to a human child, even less as to why he didn't give it to a Sugiura, or a Guardian Beast, but the deed was done.
It is said that this Sugiura had forseen the future, and decided to gift this child with the power to help fight back, but nobody knows for sure.
The day after his birth, the child was marked with a symbol on his chest. The day after that, his father died peacefully in his sleep; his mother mourning for the next week with the child.
This child grew up a prodigy, it seems, although not many people understood his intelligence. While they were interested in their book smarts, David's mind was more taken on the ideas of games like chess and Risk!; games where he could strategize and plan, ones where he took command of the action. So when these children took part in their games, David was always the leader, and their team always won.
Once he'd left school, he became a military man. He left about a week into it, claiming boredom. Actually, a lot of what he did was because of boredom - he just couldn't find anything to satisfy his interests any more.
Until he heard of the Votum of Lathos. This was a week after his eighteenth birthday, when the Valeria Heart finally materialized itself to him. He heard that it was a challenge to get to, a challenge to get, and a challenge to get back. Something inside David's head just clicked, and he knew that he wanted to get that Weapon.
So he lead a small team to the Arctic Circle, in an effort to find the Votum. Using the movements of chess pieces, he found the hiding place, and when he proved himself to the Guardian, they managed to come to something of a deal, less bloodshed needed. Strange, really, that a Guardian gave up his weapon so easily... maybe it was because he knew that David himself was a Guardian? We'll never know what happened in that cavern...
Then it came to five years before the current story, the Hollow Invasion. David lead the protection of Moscow, using the repulsing powers of the Valeria Heart, and combining them with the destructive force that was the Votum of Lathos. With these together, he managed to lead the humans into fighting back the Hollow, and kept Moscow safe for the five years of the Invasion.
Now, he makes sure to keep the city safe from harm, though he likes to rely on others every so often.
